Urostylididae
General description:
Urostylididae (formerly Urostylidae) are a family of enigmatic true bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) that belong in the shieldbug superfamily Pentatomoidea.
They look generally pentatomoid in appearance, often with an elongate body, legs and antennae.
The most distinctive diagnostic character of the family is the placement of the ocelli: the ocelli are closer to each other than the distance between an ocellus and the nearest eye.
